Originally from Atlanta, Paige grew up enjoying all things culinary from an early age, learning the basics of Southern style baking from her grandmother. And she is still trying to perfect her Maw Maw’s mouthwatering biscuit recipe.
She relocated from Atlanta to Chicago in the mid-90s as part of her 25-year career as a Sales and Marketing professional. Settling with her family in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, she took to the city like a fish to water - emerging herself in the culturally diverse food scene.
After a year-long European sabbatical from her career in 2013, Paige was so inspired by the delicious French, Italian, and Austrian pastries and breads, that she decided to seriously pursue a second career in baking, with a dream to own a retail bakery. She launched Homemade Sin Bakery in 2014, while attending the French Pastry School in Chicago. After graduation, she began building her online bakery business in a Chicago shared kitchen. That's where she met her current business partner, Kate. The two were instant friends - sharing a passion for baking and a desire to expand their individual businesses. For Paige, that meant finally opening a retail bakery. And Edge of Sweetness was born.
Paige now spends her days baking made-from-scratch scones, cookies, cakes, fudges, and sweet breads, while continuing to develop new recipes to wow the Edgewater customers. You’ll see her regularly in the retail space making coffee and serving their delicious baked goods.
